Project management steps

France Cohortes manages and deploys every new cohort or project in a structured manner.

This process begins with a meeting with the France Cohorte's team.

During the meeting, the objectives of the cohort or project are discussed and an initial assessment of feasibility is made.

Technical analysis

  • A scientific research project presentation document is requested from the project leader, together with a list of technical information to be completed.

If the feasibility of the study is confirmed by France Cohortes, a contractualisation stage begins.

Contractualisation

  • A contractual document is drawn up and signed with the cohort or project, setting out the terms of the collaboration and the budget required for the project.

After the feasibility analysis and contractualisation stages, a project manager assists the scientific team in preparing the project with France Cohortes, and coordinates the collaboration with the various departments required:

Regulatory support

  • Guidance and discussions on the research protocol, CNIL agreement, reference methodology, personal data protection impact assessment (AIPD/PIA).

Technical preparation

  • Preparation of the functionalities of the tools required for the project, communications assistance if necessary, preparation of the data management plan, etc.

Accreditation to the platform

  • Accreditation to the platform which includes its presentation, the list of useful training courses and awareness information on the system security.

Thereafter, the cohort enters a period of familiarisation with the platform, the tools and benefits from customised training.

FAIRisation of data

  • The cohort structures its data to make it FAIR and usable in the platform.

Data collection

  • Use of campaign creation and data collection tools.

Data processing and data linkage

  • Use tools for data quality control, processing, analysis and matching.

Cataloguing

  • Following the publication of scientific results derived from the collected data, cohort scientists will be able to present research data information (metadata) through a public catalogue - ongoing project.

Controlled data sharing

  • Cohorts manage the sharing of data with other researchers via the platform, in strict compliance with regulations.
